Mr. Palmer is a Portfolio Manager for the Westwood Salient Real Estate team. Prior to joining Westwood (formerly Salient) in 2013, he evaluated and executed strategic acquisitions of wealth management firms at Focus Financial Partners. Previously, he evaluated privately held bank and thrift investment opportunities at Belvedere Capital Partners, a financial services-focused private equity firm. Mr. Palmer began his career at RBC Capital Markets, executing mergers and acquisitions as well as equity and debt transactions primarily for financial services sector clients. He has an MBA in finance from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and graduated with high honors from St. Olaf College, majoring in mathematics and economics.
