Brian Casey, CFP®, CETF

Chief Executive Officer

Brian O. Casey has served as Chief Executive Officer of Westwood Holdings Group, Inc. since 2005 and became President of Westwood Wealth Management in December 2024, a role he previously held from 1996 to 2013.

Mr. Casey originally joined Westwood in 1992 and has served in various executive roles throughout his career, including as President and Chief Executive Officer of Westwood Management Corp., Westwood’s investment management business, and Westwood Trust, Westwood’s wealth and trust services business. In 2002, he led the company’s spin-off to form Westwood Holdings Group, Inc., a NYSE-listed company (NYSE: WHG), along with the acquisitions of Woodway Financial Advisors in Houston in 2015 and the assets of Salient Partners in 2022.

Most recently, Mr. Casey has been focused on establishing new growth-focused business lines, including Westwood’s customized direct indexing solutions strategies, Managed Investment Solutions (MIS); a rapidly growing exchange-traded funds platform, which includes a partnership with WEBs Investments Inc.; and Westwood’s Private Energy Secondaries strategies, which invests in existing private market energy assets.

Mr. Casey serves as a board director on several corporate and nonprofit boards, including Communify Fincentric, a financial technology platform that provides purpose-built visualizations and integrated data solutions worldwide; Tartan, a group devoted to fundraising for the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children; the Baylor Scott & White Dallas Foundation; and the Dallas Museum of Art, where he serves on the Investment Committee. He previously served as a board member of the Cooper Institute for 14 years and on the endowment committee of the Episcopal School of Dallas for 10 years. Mr. Casey has sponsored or volunteered in the building of over 25 homes for Habitat for Humanity and previously served as a Big Brother in the Big Brothers Big Sisters Program of Metropolitan Dallas for 16 years.

Mr. Casey earned an MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas, a BS in finance from Trinity University and is a graduate of the Securities Industry Institute at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He has been a Certified Financial Planner for over 35 years and recently received his CETF designation.
